Welcome to the 2019-2020
school year! My name is Coach Wil Edmondson and I am the Physical Education teacher
for Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade here, at Archway Lincoln. Here is a
little bio about myself:
I was born and raised in
Nashville, Tennessee. After attending public primary and secondary schooling, I
completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of
Tennessee-Knoxville. Shortly afterward, I married my middle school sweetheart
and we moved across the country to Chandler, AZ. She is pursuing a Masters of
Fine Arts in Theater. Meanwhile, I am entering my third year at Archway
Lincoln. Prior to teaching PE, I was a teaching assistant in fourth grade and
second grade. In addition to teaching at Archway Lincoln, I continue to coach extracurricular
volleyball, soccer, and tennis for Lincoln Preparatory. I am an Accredited
Interscholastic Coach through the NFHS as well as CPR and First Aid certified. A
few of my hobbies are soccer, board games, hiking, and playing with my golden
doodle puppy.
I am incredibly excited
looking forward to this next school year. In PE class, scholar-athletes will
participate in activities and routines aimed at improving their fitness and
coordination. They will also be introduced to vocabulary related to basic human
anatomy, and explore what it is to participate in healthy competitive play.
In partnership,
Coach Wil Edmondson
